A plumber installed an outdoor tankless a few days ago. He never installed a sediment trap on the propane line before it enters the tankless. I asked him about it. He said it's not needed on propane models, only natural gas because they do maintenance on NG lines. They are tapped into allowed dust and dirt so it's needed with NG but not propane because it's delivered and always clean. Does anyone else do this. Not install a sediment trap on propane tankless heaters. Is this the norm or is he taking a shortcut. Thank you. Bryan.
