I am running a 3" soil stack from the second floor to the crawl space. I would like it to run straight down and then at some point before it gets to the crawl space i need it to reroute. Will the code allow me to do this? I would like to use two 45's to give me a few extra inches in one direction and then continue it straight down.

Thanks in advance.

Im not sure about NJ, but that would be no problem in Canada. Offsetting a stack using 45's isn't a problem. Its when you use 90 degree bends that there becomes some discrepancies. For example, you can't have an offset of more than 4ft when using 90 degree bends.

Wow, that sure restricts the size of an opening you can offset around, doesn't it?
