So I'm trying to convert 2" pipe from 1 1/2" for a new converted tub to walk-in shower. The pipe is galvanized steel and is connected to the double wye cast iron with lead. What are my options to connect without removing the cast iron double wye.

You can remove the lead packing, and use a donut made for 2" pipe for the new 2" pipes pushed into the hub fittings.
Thanks, any recommendations on best way to remove the lead packing. Also do can I add anything around the donut if the seal isn't tight

I use drill bits I don't mind losing. Drill a few holes in the lead, and then pry the rest out.
Sometimes you can just wiggle the 1.5" out of the lead packing and then remove the lead left in the hub.
I have never had do do anything more than insert the donut in the hub after cleaning it up and after lubing the rubber, push the new pipe in. It works fine.
