Now that Karlabs no longer runs the Kit-90 test, what is the recommended water testing facility and test?

My first lab water test was from http://e-watertest.com/. $160 seemed very expensive at the time, and KarLabs at $60 with them paying postage both ways was wonderful. With KarLabs gone, I might go back to e-watertest. Their Priority 100 for $99 tests for most things needed for water treatment design. It does not include sulfate, but people don't normally treat for that. They provide a home coliform bacteria test. Their Priority 200 looks good for an initial test that includes some unlikely stuff. My first water test had a bunch of things marked nd (not detected). Prepaid return shipping label is included for US customers.

NTL Labs is by far the most recommended here. http://www.watercheck.com/ Well trusted.
They want you to overnight shipping, so that will drive the price to over $200 for most people. Even with overnight, they don't test for H2S anyway. Overnight may not be fast enough for H2S.
http://envirotestkits.com/product/safe-home-select-drinking-water-test-kit/ $99 looks good.
If you care about the coliform test results, care needs to be taken in
sampling. http://www.ugra.org/pdfs/SamplingHandout.pdf is one description
of a method to avoid contaminating the sample.

Forget mail order labs, instead find a local state approved lab to test your water for the most accurate results.

pH is time sensitive. Also bacteria must be set ASAP after collection for accurate results. In fact, bacteria samples should be kept chilled.

New player! http://www.e-watertest.com/ referenced above now eventually leads to
https://mytapscore.com/collections/well-water-tests/products/essential-well-water-test
Their Essential Water Well Test seems to have what is important for most well owners. It includes postage both ways. Looks similar to the KarLabs offering with them mailing a test kit and them providing prepaid postage back. Currently says $ 104.00 $ 139.00. That is what I currently think I would go with, but the more expensive test that needs overnight shipping may be worthwhile for others. If you try it let us know what you think. You will be the first to post on that.

Their Advanced Water Well Test https://mytapscore.com/collections/well-water-tests/products/simple-water-home-test adds VOC testing, which could be of interested if chemicals are suspected.

I think they contract out the actual testing. I found a sample report Not designed by a technical person IMO. https://simplewaterdata.com/report/example Not designed by a technical person who is trying to convey information clearly. This sample reports says is for their "Advanced Well Water Test", but the contents seem to be for their essential test , because the sample does not mention VOCs
