Raising pressure gauge

Just a quick question, I'm replacing my pressure gauge, and it has always sat too low for me. Can I use a nipple like a four inch to raise it a little without throwing off the reading?

Reading only changes 0.43 PSI per foot so 0.43 / 4 is only 0.1075 PSI off.

Edit: My bad... cannot do math. 4 inches is a third of a foot, not a quarter.

0.43 / 3 is only 0.1433 PSI off.

Another possibility would be a pressure gauge with a backside connection, if that would make it easier to read.
