Our brine tank was not draining so I pulled the injector and cleaned it. Seemed to work fine at first, but I noticed a small rubber gasket and ball on the floor beneath the softener. I assumed they fell out when I removed the injector. I pulled up the parts diagram for this model, and it shows a similar gasket and check ball installed in front of the injector. Looks like they are only held in place by the injector when it is installed. Is this correct? I reinstalled the injector with the gasket and ball, but now my brine tank is filling when it should be draining. Did I do something wrong here? Looking at this closely, it appears the check ball would be blocking the water flow with the way that I have it installed. Not sure how this is supposed to work, but something is off now. The only info that I could find online is this parts diagram. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
