I live in southern Ontario, and have a fair size yard. The city is now killing us with sewage charges on the water we use so using my sprinkler system is costing me a dollar or more. So thinking about installing a sand point. and have a few questions I was wondering if someone might be able to offer there help with.
Is it better to go 2" or is 1 1/4 sand point all right. Also I will only be using it with a sprinkler head that has 360 degree turn as I was told we have a lot of iron in the area and sprinkler system will clog up to fast to hook up.
My neighbour has a sand point but his flow doesn't look like it flows to well, he usually just lays the hose down and soaks the lawn instead of sprinkler. I know about iron in the system as it will leave rusty look on concret or sheds it it hits it.
What size of tank and pump would be recomended best to use for this. It would be hooked up to about a hundred feet of hose that I will move around to get the areas needed. I know we have creeks under ground in the area as I have lived in the area all my life and know when people installed pools this was issue when the dug down deep.
I appreciate the info as this is new to me but I do understand how the system works but not sure of sizes that would be best for my install. better to ask then find out you bought something to big or small for the job. thanks
