Faucet works great. He didn't check that the dishwasher still worked. After he left, I started the dishwasher and later smelled something burning--I went into the kitchen, and it had been running with the heating coils on, but no water.
The [valve?] on the left is open all the way on the left side and closed all the way on the right side.
The [valev?] on the right, I think is the air-gap thing. Can't adjust that side.
Here are the pics.
God Bless you and thank you for your help!

That valve is just splitting the water. One goes to sink the other dishwasher? Is your pick before and after or two valves?

I suspect the braided hose on the left - connected from below, will be the dishwasher supply line. If so, to supply hot water to the dishwasher, that stop valve will need to be opened fully.

The two stop valves on the right - the braided hose equipped with a Blue spiral line which is connected on top, appears to be the cold water supply line for the kitchen faucet.

The 1/4" copper tube on the far right which exits downward, is a cold water supply line which could be feeding a refrigerator water or ice dispenser, or possibly a reverse osmosis or other drinking water filtration system.
