Installing Delta shower control Model T27833 (R22000) into existing bathroom plumbing, 3 position diverter has water coming out of both shower head and hand shower no matter what position.

Remove the divert cartridge and check that the O rings are properly in place. At the bottom of the diver, there is a nub (key) the extrudes out and the base of it have the seal. Be sure it's probably seated.
