Hi I need advice and will do my best to answer any questions. We bought a new washer because the old one stopped spinning. Well the new washer doesn’t just hook up the same way the old washer did.

The old washer hooked up with a black rubber hose that just inserted into the back. This new washer has a plastic pipe that doesn’t hook into the old drain pipe and the rubber pipe doesn’t just fit in the back.

What needs to be done? Here are some pics and I can take more. One pic is of the back of the old washer on the curb. One is of the new one with the black plastic hose it came with. Other is of the drain pipe setup going into the floor.

New washer is model GEWN2800DOWS

There is no standpipe for the washer. It was a direct connection from the old washer black drain hose to another drain hose that goes somewhere?
You have a real mess and this was never a location for a washer and dryer. Someone hack it all in. At least for the drain side the new machines have larger hoses. If you were to get fittings to adapt to the drain hose there would be too much back pressure and may damage the pump on the new machine. From this one picture the drain is nowhere near code.
