Hello, first of all, hopefully I posted this in the right section. I am writing to ask if anyone might have an idea of what is going on with my washing machine. It is a pretty simple model I think (Insignia Eco Auto Sensing).

I recently changed the drain pump because the washer was not draining, I assume it was an impeller problem as one could hear the pump engage, it was just not pulling the water to drain. Changed pump, drains perfectly now.

Now I have a new issue. I have tried looking it up, but maybe I am not searching properly as I can't find anything specific to my problem, just a washer draining in general.

Washer fills as usual but as it is agitating some water is slowly draining out. When the water gets a bit too low, the agitation stops and water refills. Does this a couple of times during the cycle.

I don't think it is because the drain hose it too deep into the drain pipe creating a suction. Even if I remove the drain hose from the drain pipe and hold it up high, there will still be some water coming out of the washer, it just stays in the hose.

I also made sure drain hoses were all clean, both the short rubber one inside the washer and the one outside of it going to the drain pipe. And the one way stopper that was built into the drain pump is intact.

I did have to remove the drain hose from the pipe and drain it into a drain on the floor via gravity when the washer stopped draining before I changed the pump. Could this have messed something up? Or, I am wondering if I maybe have uncalibrated something when I had to turn the washer over to change the pump?

Any ideas?

Thanks for your time and help.
