We're trying to replace the pop-up stopper that got taken by the landlord's guy; I've bought three of them and they were all too short. The Danco 4.5" universal stopper, after modification with a drill, allowed for just the tiniest bit of separation between the edge of the stopper and the sink, but the water drained too slowly, so now we just have it resting on top of the bar. The bar can't be adjusted to push up any further, nor can we screw the whole assembly in more (presumably this is why he took the stopper as well after putting the sink back together).

Is there a very long stopper out there anyone knows of that I can try?

Two ideas.
  1. New drain assembly
  2. attach an extension to the Danco
