Hello.
My spouse took a very long shower in the 2nd floor bathroom. I was downstairs in the room right below the bathroom. I noticed water dripping from the edge of the ceiling onto the floor. The ceiling is made of redwood planks angled toward the area of the drip, and we are loath to cut into it. We decided to renovate the many decades old bathroom instead, hoping to find the leak source from above. We thought the leak could be from the tub seal, but now that the tub is up and the room is down to the studs, I'm beginning to suspect that the leak came from either the hot or cold supply pipe. What is the best way to figure out where the leak is coming from? Thanks in advance for your help.
