Kohler Purist - Shower set K-T14422-4-CP

Hello,
after 10 years of service the MB shower decided to give up on hot water. It is a Kohler Purist. I am thinking that could be the Mix Valve. Is it possible? Any suggestion? I really need help. Thanks in advance

It is a pressure balanced unit so the PBU (pressure balancing unit) may be stuck and needs replacement.

Sorry, I forgot that I posted this. The shower actually stopped working last year and started again. Bizarre...I know. However now it looks like it is really out of service. I will look into your suggestion. Sorry and thanks
