Kitchen Sink Drain Size

I'm sure this has been covered here but I'll be darned if I can find it.

Every code reference I can find lists the fixture units for a kitchen sink with or without a DW and/or GD as 2, which would only require a 1-1/2" drain line. And yet, many here say that a 2" line is required. What am I missing?

UPC says 2" for the drain, after the trap arm. maybe IPC is 1.5"*
*UPC has a asterisk note item which states "Provide a 2" minimum drain" for kitchen sinks.
2" is the way to go!
All kitchen sinks require a cleanout, also.

don't know penn. code 2 inch is my minimum on kitchen unless there is some challenge running 2 I wouldn't think of smaller except the trap and arm

So removing the trap arm and using the trap adapter doesn't qualify as a cleanout?

Our inspectors like to see a 2" cleanout for a kitchen sink.
The trap can be 1.5"

again up to your code but generaly in my code removing the trap is not a cleanout in my world but could be in others
