I purchased a Toto Drake round standard height for a small bathroom and there were several cosmetic defects.
1. Base of bowl not rounded properly in front.
2. Side line of the base of the bowl had a dent in the casting on one side.
3. Glazing on tank not high enough and the glaze line was visible
4. Dark spot under tank lid glaze
5. Bubbles in tank lid glaze.
The bottom of the toilet was extremely rough and there were several large gouges on the back of the tank.
I’ve never had any problems before with Toto. Anyone else having any problems? I reordered the toilet and the replacement looked better but came cracked. I ended up buying an American standard champion 4. I hate to say it but the AS, in my opinion, was finished better. The only spot where the AS was slightly worse was under the rim.
Toto customer service was not that helpful.
Has anyone else had trouble with Toto lately? Was this just a fluke?
