hvac shrader valve question

New to HVAC. What shrader valve sizes do I need for the outside AC unit at my house? Goodman GSX130361, 13 SEER AC, 3 Ton. Also after I replace the shrader valves what size caps are a good way to seal and protect the valves from leaking? Thanks

Unless you have the tools to do it, you cannot replace the valves without losing the refrigerant.

I have the tool to do the change out with no loss but I'm just not sure what size Schrader valve. It is leaking

I’m not sure if one from an auto store is equivalent. You need to stop at a HVAC supplier. If you have this tool, put it in the valve and unthread the Schrader valve a few turns then tighten it up. It might reseat itself. Your problem may be caused by the extreme cold and things are shrinking. With this tool you can remove the schrader valve and take it with you.
