Hi all! After searching for hours for any post that covers my issue, I decided to post with pics.
Removed old tub, put in new shower. The shower drain is now on right side of room and pics, where old one was on left. The stack on left is the only venting and draining option existing (the old drain will be capped on that wye). The distance from shower drain to verical stack is about 5.5ft. The joists are 9.5" actual. I paid a plumber to look at it and he said he would just tie into the vertical stack using a fernco. He did not say exactly how it could be done while keeping proper slope and coding.

The plumbing can extend beyond the joists and into the garage if needed, it would hang out there like dog nuts, but not in the way. I was thinking of extending the horizontal section on the right leg of stack (3" dwv) over a few feet or more, but unsure how to get clearance to tie in. I was also thinking of doing as he suggested and tying into the vert stack via a 3x3x2 wye, but I'm not sure how to do that and not exceed 2" drop from p trap. I live pretty rural and the only 2 plumbers I could get to come out here to fix easy water leaks (I was working and didn't want to hassle) both had leaks in their leak "repairs."

Any solid thoughts? Wayne are you around?
