How can I put a shower head on 1/2 inch PVC?

I just ran PVC in my shower and put a 90 degree angle piece on it going down.
The woman of the house would like a shower head tho.
What fittings/adapters do I need to put it on the PVC?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PVC is not approved for pressure pipe for inside houses now, so lets assume it is an outdoor shower.
A 1/2 in. PVC Sch. 40 Male MPT x S Adapter would glue onto a 1/2 inch PVC pipe, and most showerheads would screw onto it.
