These shower valves haven't been serviced in decades, and they leak a little. Can anyone ID them for me? House was built in 1956. Can I just pull the valves out, or do I need a special tool?

    Thanks!

Don't waste your time and money - replace it.

Those look like what I had growing up. At least until my mother took a sledge hammer to the bathroom.
