Hi,

I'm installing a Toto Drake II. When I place the tank on the base, the tank does not 3 to rest at 3 points on the base like the instructions. The tank is too high and does not rest on the base. What am I missing. Almost like the gasket is too thick.

Also, when I set the base, it does not feel like the wax ring made contact..is that possible? When I try to lift the toilet I do not get a sesne the wax ring has compressed. Do I need a spacer on the flange.

Thank you

either a flange spacer or and Extra Thick wax ring.
When you tighten tank to bowl, it pulls down to make contact and seal the foam gasket

For the tank to base, it takes a lot of turns to bring the tank down. The tank should not hard contact all three points at once. Instead, as you push the tank sideways, there should be a space between one of the contact points about the thickness of a business card. Alternate which way you push.

For base to floor, Terry often used two rings stacked, with the upper one having a plastic horn.

Also, check for rocking before you place the wax. If there is rocking, place the shims without wax. Mark where the shims go to prevent rocking. Lift the toilet. Drop the wax. Drop the toilet onto the positioned shims.
