I'm currently attempting to remove the handle of my bathtub's Delta faucet because there is a leak, most likely caused by a corroded faucet washer. However, the handle itself is stuck, either due to corrosion or being wedged into place. I attempted to use a faucet puller on the handle, but it is curved with a smooth nickel(?) finish and so there is no friction for it to grab onto. I have tried using plywood as a surface, but either (a) the plywood slides off the handle or (b) the puller drilled into the plywood. (I've put pictures of the puller I'm using and the offending faucet below)

At this point I'm not sure what my options are. I'd love any suggestions or advice the community has!

Remove the Allan screw and it will pull off. Sometimes very hard. You might try spraying some WD40 in there or some vinegar.
They can be pretty tough sometimes.

That puller will not work, because there is no "center hole" for the pin to slide into. Just grab the handle and pull while "wiggling" it in every direction.
