Hi all, need some advise. I installed my new delta r22000 trim kit today and I run into a following problem. Water turns on and off, I can change hot and cold.. BUT- when I try to use the secondary handle on a 6 way diverter (for my 3 options: rain, handheld and shower head) all 3 always work- regardless of what setting I put on.. is this faulty installation? Or issue with diverter? If installation- I’m open to suggestions!!! Much appreciate all responses..

I also had this issue. How did you fix it.

The cartridge should allow for 1 function or a combination of 2 adjoining functions to be on at the same time. If more than 2 come on at the same time, then either the cartridge is failed or the functions were piped together behind the wall.

To add onto what Tuttles said....if you have an access panel to look at your valve installation ....confirm that all three outlets have been actually plumbed to its correct diverter port. This will narrow down your problem to installation or cartridge failure.
