I would like to replace this hardware with a different finish, unfortunately the tub is not accessible from the underside without tearing out the tile. Any chance this is Price Pfister? The shower and tub valves in other areas of the house are Pfister. House was built about 1994. Thanks.

To figure out what you have you need to remove the stem. Lay the stem next to a ruler and take an up close in focus picture showing the total length of the stem. You need to count the splines on the broach, where the handle attaches. You count either the grooves or the ridges.

Most Pfister stems have a 12 point broach.

It is Pfister, but since it appears to be the older model compression stem, there are few options for converting it to any other finish. You MIGHT be able to find a polished brass version, but that is about it otherwise chrome is your only other choice.
