Breaker trips on well

main breaker trips on my well.
disconnected hot to pressure sensor-breaker does not trip
disconnected pressure sensor from control box-does not trip
disconnected control box from pump- TRIPs
would I be right that one of the capacitors in the control box is bad?
all new system and pump in November - Thank you

All you should hear is a click from the control box. With the pump disconnected it should not trip the breaker.

Disconnect one of the incoming power wires to the control box (L1 or L2). Trips then?
