basement toilet installation

I'm considering replacing my 3gpf toilet with a 1.6gpf..due to the relatively shallow gradient of the drain pipe in a basement installation, I am concerned that a water efficient toilet may not move solids as well and eventually cause problems in the drain pipe itself...any validity to this or should I not worry about it?..thanks

As long as you have a slope of at least 1/4" per linear foot, you will be fine.
