Aquarian, Old American Standard tub handle removal

I am remodeling old property and have the pictured Am. Std. tub faucet handle (circa 1980, I believe).
I cannot find any setscrew with the escutcheon removed, and the collar behind the handle has limited movement, so no hidden things there. Any suggestions.

There will be a small set screw under the handle that may need tightening.
