Has anyone installed one of these? The valve is a S3102. It has two outlets (1 is being capped) so only one shower head. 1/2” lines to the cold and hot inlets. I used a 2” trap and drain and it failed being “undersized”
Specs are Water flow rates (at 45 psi): 2-outlet system: max flow of 6 gallons per minute (gpm) per outlet with a system max of 9 gpm
Also Automatic Compensating Valves:
U by Moen™: For use with Showerheads rated at 1.5 (5.7 L/min) or higher
So I’m assuming it is 6 gallons only (being the other outlet is capped)
I’m looking at the code book under “hydraulic loads from a semi-continuous flow”
I just never thought a single shower head would require a 3” drain. Anybody get me on the right track with this one ? Thanks.
