i'm rapidly reaching the conclusion that it's time to replace the old pig. i got a new seat disc at true value for 3 bucks and they actually have the plunger kit for about 5 bucks in brass, but i've tried it before and it was slightly short as i remember. instead i got a new plastic washer for the end of the kit for 29cents. once all that was fixed, it started dripping from the vent away tube. i fiddled with it awhile and let it vent for several seconds and the leaking stopped. i'm testing the seat valve for now with the water cut off, but i'll try flushing it in a bit and see if the leak is stopped for good. it's a designer bisque color that might be hard to find a replacement for.
