Hello I looked to see if this was discussed but could not find anything similar. I have a well with submersable pump that fills a tank that aireates the water to reduce sulfer smell. Recently the solinoid malfunctioned and the tank fill valve wouldnt open. The float swiitch is fine and works but the solinoid was hot and I think stuck closed. The pump that sends the water from the tank to the softener and house drained the tank but I caught it in time to save the pump which is a 1 HP pump. I got the solinoid to work and the float switch cycles the main pump and it all seems to work ok but I want to replace the solinoid and valve assembly to be safe. It appears the unit is a Hlt 210-000 assembly 110V with no flow adjustment. All I can find online and at Lowes are units for sprinkler systems. Are they the same thing? Also I cant seem to find the Hlt brand on line just the varios companies that make the ones for sprinkler systems. I see pictures of units that look the same as what I have now but again they are advertised for sprinkler systems. It seems like they shoud work but I want to be sure before i order one. Thanks for your help

Does all of the water from the well go to the big tank? If so, why a solenoid valve? Why not just have the float switch control the submersible pump?
