I can’t seem to find anyone that has done this online, which leads me to believe it’s not an optimal way to add irrigation…
I’m adding some in ground irrigation and although I’d rather tap in on a 1” line in my crawl and use a wall irrigation hydrant, the highest planned sprinkler would be roughly 10’ above my subfloor.
I have a yard hydrant at that high point that I could use for my water source, so my question is, could I simply add the pbv valve directly to the hydrant and pipe down to my box with the manifold/valves? The other options would be to remove the hydrant and add a pbv valve in its place (seems redundant) or add the irrigation wall hydrant and use an RPV valve at the house (adds significant cost).
Thanks in advance for your input!
