I want to add a new zone to my existing irrigation system installed by the previous owner.. I am pulling water from a lake and not concerned about back flow.
The existing manifold has anti -siphon valves installed. ( I think he did this because he wanted the valves to all be above ground ).All the zones are down hill from the existing manifold. The system as it is today works great. Now I want to add an uphill zone about 150ft away from this manifold. Should I tap a line off the main line about 1 ft before the existing manifold and run a line up about 150ft and add another anti -siphon valves so all the valves will be anti- siphon or can I just tap 1 ft before the existing manifold and just put an in ground inline valve then run a 150ft line to the heads ? I am going to use 1" pipe for the 150ft zone line then branch off to 1/2" to the heads.
