First time poster with a question on a masterbath remodel. I am about to proceed with some plumbing for 2 shower heads on different walls. The bathroom is gutted to the studs and I will be using a 60 x 32 inch acrylic shower base. The existing water supply is 1/2 inch. I understand that you can do this using a diverter valve and basically have one set of controls. However, I was also told that you could have a valve (pressure balanced only) and a single set of handles for each head. I am not interested in running both heads`at the same time but I am wondering if this is possible and if so what are some of the implications. Thanking all replies`in advance.

You can do it either way. If you use one control for both, assuming you use a diverter valve that is not strictly an "either one or the other" unit, you have to be sure the valve will supply enough water to feed both heads adequately.
