Hello. The coating of the hall bath tub has started to peel (pictures attached.)

Besides replacing the whole tub or re-coating the whole tub, what other repair options are available?

For the short term, are there any product at hardware store that can patch the peel from spreading?

What type of contractor will perform the whole tub re-coat?

Thanks.

Call a re-glazer for re-glazing job.

Don't expect the repair to last very long, so if you plan on staying in this house for a long period of time, invest in a new tub: not that much more money, a new enamel over steel tub will last 20+ years.

There is no long term fix except to replace it.

The last tub I would ever buy is enamel over steel. One would be just as well off with an old galvanized wash tub. Cast iron is king, and there as a few good acrylics out there.
