I am adding a shower to a half bath on a concrete slab. I can tap into an existing wye that is placed at 90 degrees to the line draining back to the main stack. I think that the wye *should* enter the drain at an angle less than 45 degrees, but considering this is a shower would like to know if I am likely to have any problems with the setup as shown.

Id say somewhat likely to have problems with stink coming out of shower drain. its plumbed a way I would never try so its hard to say . but its against code and for good reason I think when wast travels down the main not vented can cause water to get sucked out the trap potentially unhealthy, unpleasant, dangerous
