I installed a new WaterBoss ProPlus 380 water softener.

I used new Qest fittings.

The fittings are slightly leaking when there is a large water demand like running the wash machine.

I'd include a photo of my actual situation but a pop up says the file is too large to post.

I don't want to crank on the gray plastic compression nut and risk breaking the plastic inlets.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

While plastic compression fittings are often utilized for a softener's plastic brine line connections, for copper supply and demand connections, if you are not prepared to solder, suggest using either compression fittings equipped with brass bodies, nuts and ferrules, or utilize quick connect fittings such as those offered by Shark Bite.
