Hi, we are wanting to have water softener installed in our house.

I have city water, 4.4 GPG hardness, 4 people in the house, 4.5 bathroom.

We like Fleck valve, so we are choosing either the 5600sxt, 7000sxt, 5810sxt.

Can anyone tell me if it's worth it to choose the new 5800 series over the true and tested 5600/7000 series?

Also, in regards to tank size. I have been reading and most people recommend tank size of 2 cu ft minimum.

I want to buy a complete kit with the Fleck valve. So any recommendation is appreciated.

Thank you very much.

due to the size of your house the 2 ft3 system should do you well. The 7000 was discontinued several years ago. The 5600 is a little small for your house. It is a great valve but flow rates are limiting. The 5810 would be a good fit for your application.
