Hello, I have an odd issue. A high-quality, wide spread bathroom faucet suddenly started hammering/vibrating when turned on FULL. It is 15 years old, so I replaced the stem, but that did not solve the problem. Turning this faucet on low, and it is quite. This only happens on the hot side; the cold valve works fine, no noise.
I don't know if this is relevant to the problem, but the problem began after I had the house's main valve off to do some work on other parts of the house. When turning the main back on, there was a considerable amount of sediment in all faucets and toilets around the house. We have old pipes in our neighborhood and hard water (with a water softener).

Any thoughts? thanks in advance. -ag

If the angle stop for the hot water line going to the sink has a valve stem with a rubber seat that may have come loose and is vibrating when the water is flowing.

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
