Hello everyone, came home from work on Monday to find my deep well jet pump running non-stop but not building pressure. Long story short is that the venturi assembly at the bottom of the well had blown out. Yesterday, replaced the venturi and the pump since I wasn't sure how long the old pump had been running without prime and was worried about it dying before too long. Got the pump primed and originally all was good until my wife tried to have a shower last night before bed in the washroom on the second floor. There was almost no pressure coming from the faucets. I suspect there is a lot of air in the pipes from the system basically emptying completely and maybe even going into vacuum when the venturi blew out but I've been trying to bleed it out without success. It feels like the jet pump doesn't have enough "oomph" to push the air out of the plumbing. My system consists of a 120 gallon contact retention tank, water softener, UV bulb with sediment filter - which I've replaced twice now in 2 days - and a hot water tank. The pump is set to 30/50. I've been trying to bleed the air out of the highest faucet in the house. I can hear gurgling in the pipes and occasionally a little bit of air comes out but seems like it's never going to get all the air out. Also, the shower has a pressure equalizing blend valve so I'm not sure if that can be bled properly? Does anyone have any tricks to get all the air out?
