UV rated PVC ball valve

I need to replace a 1" and 3/4" PVC ball valve outside for water supply shut offs. The one supplied when the house was built is 7 years old and although the valve seems fine the handles are failing. I believe the Florida sun is to blame. Is there replacement meant for Exterior UV applications?

That is a possibility, just wondering if there are any PVC solutions. Wouldn't mind a PVC ball valve solution with union oring connections that is UV rated.

There are plenty of extremely expensive PVC products that meet your query's specs. List price for a 1" is about $300. which is absurd. Sch 40 PVC is fine for low grade irrigation but never used by any plumber who knows what they are doing for water supply above ground. https://www.haywardflowcontrol.com/en_us/tb4p100t

Just paint it. Painting exposed PVC and ABS is an approved method for UV protection on rooftop vent stacks here is the Arizona desert, don't know why it wouldn't work for a valve. Use spray paint so you don't gum it up.

I would protect the valve from the sun and elements. Possibly make a removable foam shell. The problem with pvc is it needs to be sched. 80 to have enough strength to accept a threaded metal valve. If you could glue some couplings and sched 80 nipples, then metal would be best.

Do like he says,,, just paint the body of the valve, and maybe throw a cover over the valve to protect it from the sun
even an old towell would work just fine
