Tub Drain, Would this modified plumbing plan work?

Hey everyone,

I'm going to be installing a bathtub in the near future but the installation instructions for the drain shows a mockup of the waste pipe going away from the overflow drain side. Unfortunately, my house has the waste drain going away from the other side of the tub. I quickly drew plans to flip the direction. I was hoping I could get some information whether this would work without any issues.

Here is a picture of the mockup provided by the company and the diagram which I drew of the modified plans (in red).
