Does the unifit need to sit level, front to back? I have an old cast iron flange that sits slightly above my tile floor, which will make the unifit higher in the front. Is that OK, or should I shim the back and use slightly longer screws to set it in place? Or do I need to do surgery on the flange?

Is the front of the Unifit sitting greater than 1/4 inch high or less?

Or are you not even in possession of the of the Unfit yet?

The unifit can accept some variability in the floor level front to back easier than it can side to side. You can likely shim the entire thing to match your flange max height so that its not tilted.
