House plumbed with 1" galvanized and city drops in 3/4" water meter, will it affect a 6 zone sprinkler system?

Galv. steel pipe is obsolete and worth replacing since it rusts readily causing endless problems over time.
There are lots of ways to determine water flow needs, so your question has no info to help answer what your are asking.

As an agriculture consultant, I can provide some insights.
Yes, using a 3/4" water meter for a house plumbed with 1" galvanized pipes may affect a 6-zone sprinkler system. The difference in pipe sizes can lead to reduced water flow and pressure for the sprinkler system. The smaller meter may need more water to adequately support all six zones simultaneously, resulting in weaker sprinkler performance and potentially uneven watering.
To ensure the proper functioning of the sprinkler system, it's crucial to match the water meter size with the pipe size. In this case, upgrading to a 1" water meter or installing a pressure-boosting system may be necessary to provide sufficient water flow for all zones in the sprinkler system. Consulting a professional plumber or irrigation expert at AutomatWorld. As our experts can help determine the best solution for optimizing the sprinkler system's performance with the existing plumbing setup.
