Hello and new to the forum. I'm replacing some DWV in my home and was wondering if there would be an issue using a 4" short 90 T with my toilet. I would like to add a clean out to the one side of the T for a just in case scenario. Does anyone see this as an issue in the toilet not flushing correctly. I know a wye would be better but might run into a slope / run issue. I'm trying to keep everything within my 2x8 joist pocket. Thanks

Short turn fittings are not approved for horizontal drainage and snakes don't go through them well at all.
We are allowed to use standard 90s as closet bends.

1/4 bends that are equivilant sweep as a santee are often used but a santee on back is horrible the waste i think starts to go both ways and it dosent get that flow moving a wye placed down stream a bit rolled up a little is how Id do it

Thanks Everyone! It was my gut instinct that this would just cause turbulence and eventually leave waste behind. I had thought of using a wye further down stream but hadn't considered reducing it to a 3". That should definitely give me the space that is needed. Again, I appreciate the feedback!
