Redoing the sewage pump

My basement tests high for radon so I'm in the process of sealing holes before I install a radon vent fan. The single biggest hole is the sewage sump. My plan is to redo the plumbing to make future maintenance easier and to seal it with something like this:

Here is the current layout:

I have a couple of questions:
  1. How big does the vent need to be for the sump? The current vent is 2" and is not shared by any other drains. I would like to repurposed the path it takes to be used for the radon vent. (the 2" pipe will be removed and replaced with 4" for radon) Could I use an AAV in this application? (AAV's are approved in my jurisdiction)
  2. What would you change from the way it installed now?

Do you have a sump fed by the peripheral drain around the foundation? Seal that pit, and put a radon fan on that, vented outside, would probably do wonders. I don't think you should try to feed the radon fan into the plumbing vent. I don't have a citation, but I expect there is a rule to that effect.

Finish the septic pit. Looks like you should enlarge the hole to allow maintainence access, and then fill between the pump rim and the concrete with mortar.

This is just a sewage sump. It services the water softener and future basement bathroom. If an AAV is ok in this application I would remove the 2" vent pipe and replace it with 4" for the radon. The 2" drain vent seems like over kill, but it does go all the way to the roof (single story house)

AAV is never OK for a sewage pump. You need something that can remove air as well as add air.

Good to know on that AAV. I was considering venting the radon from the new sump cover, but as I think about it the negative pressure would just pull air from the drain vents instead of from under the slab.
