Hi everyone,

I would like to install a utility sink in our wash room. I had it pre-plumbed. However, I'm having trouble removing the caps off these pipes which I believe are PEX pipes. Is there a technique to remove these caps?

Thanks,
Jay

You don't remove them, you cut behind them and toss the caps in the trash.
You can either use shutoff with expansion for Uponor or carefully clean off the PEX and use a Sharkbite style stop.

I am thinking the tubing with the paint is 3/4 pex or some other tubing used as a conduit, and inside of that is 1/2 inch PEX-A.

As I see it,
D is the plug.
C is the ring on 1/2 inch pex.
B is a gap between the ring and sleeve
A is the sleeve that may be 3/4 pex

Hey, wait a minute.
