PVC to PEX Tee

I need to go from 1" PVC to 3/4"PEX with a tee. The PEX will be straight through and the branch will be the PVC. I could reduce the PVC to 3/4" just before the tee so it will be easier. Lowes didn't seem to have the correct fitting. Will a shark bite work?

No single fitting will do what you want.

The only Sharkbite connectors that will connect to 1 inch PVC (rather than CPVC, which is CTS --copper tubing size) is the 1" CTS X 1" PVCUIP4020 http://www.sharkbite.com/product/pvc-transition-couplings/

So that could connect the PVC to to 1 inch PEX, and you could get a 3/4" x 3/4" x 1" PEX Tee.
