Pump rapidly cycles (chatters)

I just added a 3 stage whole house water filter to my daughters house and now the pump rapidly cycles on/off (the relay contacts rapidly open/close). What is the fix for this?

Did you put the filter between the pressure tank and pressure switch?

Yes, it's directly after the pump.

That is your problem. The filter should be after the pressure tank.
