I have the American Standard 7692.008.020 Lakewell Cast Iron Wall Mounted Service Sink. Problem is that the drain hole opening is 3 1/8" and literally no drain fits in it. Only thing is a really ugly p-trap that American Standard sells which acts as a stand and makes the sink super low.
One person who reviewed the sink online said he used a shower drain.
I have found two drains that might work. This one says that the drain fits a 3" to 4" diameter hole. http://www.americanstandardpro.com/assets/documents/amstd/spec/SpecSheet_4830.pdf One call to American Standard says I can use this with the Lakewell sink and another call says no, only drain is their p-trap. Can I use this drain?
This drain says it is specifically for 3" openings, is that close enough that I can use it with a 3/18" hole? Maybe with a gasket tor something? What's with the bar sticking out and the additional opening on the side of the drain? Can I get away with using this one? https://www.tsbrass.com/overview.php?pid=B-3942&loc_cat=Waste+Valves
I guess I can use a shower drain as a last resort?
Help!
Thanks!
