Hello
I’m looking to purchase two new water softeners for my homes in Helotes, TX, where we have some of the hardest water in the nation. Here are the details of each rental house:
  • House #1: 4 bedrooms, 2600 sq ft
  • House #2: 3 bedrooms, 1900 sq ft
Initially, I considered the Fleck 9100SXT, but after some research, I don’t think it fits my needs best. I want to ensure that I choose a solution that balances practicality and longevity, avoiding the need for future upgrades.

I've encountered a lot of technical terms and options, and I feel like some salespeople may push for more expensive models than necessary. I would greatly appreciate your guidance in determining the best options for my situation, specifically regarding the following:

  1. GPM (Gallons Per Minute)
  2. Bypass Connection
  3. Resin Type: 8% or 10%
  4. Brine Tank Grid
  5. Brine Tank
  6. Resin Up Feeder: Yes or No
Provide additional information and options if you think they are warranted. And don't be afraid to tell me like I'm a 2-year old :)
Thank you for your help!
